When Your Kids Like to Scramble: Make Quiche

The girls have been really excited about scrambling eggs. 1, 2, 3, ... 6 scrambled eggs. They were doing such a great job, I couldn't bring myself to stop them. We have a Montessori household. One of our lower kitchen cabinets is dedicated just to the kids, so they can independently set their own table for snacks and meals. The cabinet is fully stocked with their glasses (yes, real glass), plates, bowls, silverware, etc. They also have a small mixing bowl, a whisk and other small cooking tools made for child-sized hands. And kids aprons (which they can put on by themselves without help from Mom!) are always hanging from a hook...

When it comes to cooking with kids, ABC: Always Bake Cobblers. If not cobbler, take it to the next letter and ABCD: Always Be Cooking Dessert.  Sure, savory is swell, but dessert is - how do you say it? #winning.
